Ruach Ministries meets on the Onething Prayer Center campus and is a congregation of Jewish and non-Jewish members who believe in Jesus as the Messiah. The Salvation Army's Family Stores offer quality clothing, furniture and other goods at bargain prices. Revenue from its Family Stores nationwide help fully fund its Adult Rehabilitation Centers, which provide assistance to the homeless and working poor in Manatee County and around the country.
The local Family Store on Tamiami Trail (14th Street West) is a few blocks from the Salvation Army's Social Services and Adminstration Center, and it accepts donations and drop-offs.
Pastor Bill Hull leads this congregation of Disciples of Christ. The church, in existence since 1919, undertook a major renovation of its sanctuary in 1999. It has a congregation of about 100, many of whom are snowbirds. In addition to Sunday services, Central Christian Church hosts Sunday school classes for adults and the developmentally disabled, plus youth Bible study and potluck dinners the first Sunday of each month. The church is affiliated with the charity Family Promise of Manatee County.

"Active," "dynamic," "open-minded" and "green" are words that spring from the tongues of members of the congregation of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Sarasota. With a strong tradition of social advocacy and justice, the congregational body of the UU incorporates and welcomes people of diverse faiths and backgrounds united by a common belief in humanity, the inherent worth and dignity of each person and of the earth. The flaming chalice, originally designed during WWII by Hans Deutsch, was meant to symbolize sacrifice and love, and has been adapted to the more modern symbol incorporating also two circles. The building itself is designed in the style of the Sarasota School of Architecture, including the large picture windows on either side of the congregation hall, bringing nature in from outdoors.
The Unitarian Universalists of Clearwater is a church which combines the Unitarian tradition and the Universalists. The two religions merged in 1961 since both held similar beliefs. UUC congregation of about 400 people gather at the Octagon Arts Center for Sunday Services. There is a children's church choir of congregants pre-K through 8th grade. An adult music program, couples workshops and yoga classes round out the church activities.
