As God teaches us new truths, our philosophy of ministry is always evolving. What has never changed is our desire for our residents to focus on growing closer in their walk with Christ, to be Christ-driven, not to be rule or program driven. Their focus must not be toward graduating to feel like they have accomplished something and prove to others how good they are doing, having abided by all the rules. It must be to yield to the Holy Spirit’s voice, desiring to obey Christ to please His heart. Being relatively small, we deal with each person individually in regard to whether their hearts are truly desiring to yield to Christ, or simply looking for a safe place to live until something better comes along. Since we never require anyone to fundraise, they are able to spend a great deal of time pursuing their relationship with God and blessing others in our community in need. We emphasize teaching them to walk out what God has worked in because they want to, not have to. To help our residents grow spiritually they attend daily Bible studies, keep journals, use workbooks, attend a couple of church services on weekends, attend Celebrate Recovery, receive counseling, and watch teaching and worship videos.

Our curriculum provides young children with an environment designed to nurture and support the emergence of foundational skills, attitudes, and experiences essential to the development of a lifetime of learning and a passion for literacy. MISSION STATEMENT Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church is a worshiping and welcoming parish community serving the Kingdom of God. We celebrate and live our faith in Jesus Christ through the Sacraments, and by our words and actions. BRIEF HISTORY Our Lady of Hope parish was started on September 13, 1981. The founding pastor was Father George Moreau. Masses were held at Carriage CoveMobile Park on Nova Road, Spruce Creek High School and Elementary School and daily Mass at the CWA hall near the church property. Everything was out of the trunk of the car. On Holy Thursday of 1983 we moved into the new hall, which served as the church as well as the parish hall. This building was erected with second collection monies. No fund drive was initiated at all. Due to the generosity of our parishioners this building was paid off and so was the rectory.

How We Are Structured Stonewater Fellowship is an elder-led church. Currently our elder board is comprised of a Partnership Advisory Team. These men are responsible for the protection of doctrine, the vision and direction of the church. Once elders are elected from our body all of our elders will be participants in our Growth Group or Community Group discipleship as well as actively engaged in 1-on-1 disciple-making relationships. Our church staff, under the authority of the Lead Pastor, is and will be responsible for implementing Stonewater’s disciple making vision and participating in group and 1-on-1 disciple-making relationships as well. What We Believe Stonewater Fellowship is Evangelical Free Church of America denomination church plant. The EFCA is an association of autonomous churches united around ten theological convictions.
