The KP Ranch, owned and operated by Kenny & Ali Petersen was established in 1992, located in eastern Nebraska about an hour north of Omaha near Summit Lake, running a commercial beef production cow/calf operation. Miniature Hereford cattle were NEW to the cattle industry and no one had ever heard of them. In an effort to promote the breed and educate the general public, we began to take cattle to shows to display them with other Hereford cattle. In 1998 we showed at the first true Miniature Hereford show in the USA at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, where we had both the Grand Champion Miniature Hereford Bull and the Grand Champion Miniature Hereford Female. Many many more Grand and Reserve Champions have followed.

Our Ranch is a family owned and operated, working ranch. Were not a traditional luxury dude ranch or guest ranch resort, we work cattle. Our horses would be embarrassed to go on "head-to-tail" trail

Ridder Hereford Ranch started when Theodore and Elizabeth Ridder moved from northeast Nebraska to the Sandhills west of Callaway in 1907, searching for land and a home to raise their growing family. Their son Paul was the youngest of 12 children, among them a dentist, two Catholic Sisters, an Interior Designer, a Naval Aviator instructor, ranchers, and a machinist. Paul and Mariannes son John, the oldest of four children, and his wife Mary now operate Ridder Hereford Ranch along with their six children. Ridder Hereford Ranchs sole business is raising efficient, productive, carcass-superior Hereford bulls and females for cow calf ranchers. Ridder Ranch Tours has hosted tour guests from several states as well as the Ukraine, Russia, India, Namibia, and Denmark. Opening up our Sandhills prairie pastures to visitors has been a great avenue to meeting people from interesting walks of life and sharing our familys ranch life with persons from largely urban homes. We introduce guests to pristine pastures, amazingly beautiful landscapes, a large variety of wildlife here in the heartland of America, and the tremendous Hereford breed.

Nestled in the hard grass country of Western Nebraska is the Grays Angus Ranch. The Gray family has roots in the Angus business that stem back to 1898. Rodney Gray is the 5th generation of his family to raise Angus, and it is a tradition that has been passed down to his children. The Grays run 550 head of Registered Angus south west of Harrison. Most of the current cow herd traces back to the cow families that Rods grandfather ran in the 1920s. For the past 40 years, the Gray family has been using artificial We collect carcass ultrasound data as a means to produce desirable traits in our cattle that benefit our customers who retain ownership or sell feeder calves. The functional female is what we have based our cowherd selection on for six generations. We avoid extremes and popular trends, striving to produce a complete package for our customers, keeping their profitability in the beef business a top priority.
