Garden Road Elementary is one of seven elementary schools in the City of Poway. It has an active Parent-Teacher Association and the school proudly maintains the motto, "All Students Learning, Whatever it Takes." Located near Garden Road Park, the school also offers before and after-school programs. The school's principal is Jeannie Miller.
Abraxas High School is one of two high schools in the City of Poway. It is considered a continuation high school for students who require specialized attention and are at risk of not receiving a high school diploma.
Abraxas is a year-round school where students take two courses per quarter (every 45 days). The school prides itself in smaller class sizes (18-20 students per class) and the ability to offer specialized services including vocational, Coyote Youth Student Services and policing grants.
Abraxas was recognized as a a Model Continuation School by the State of California in 1998.
Midland Elementary is one of seven elementary schools in the City of Poway, and is located in the Old Poway community. Midland Elementary is a 2010 California Distinguished School and is home of the "Rattlers." The current principal is Julie Lerner.
