The International School of Boston, also known as Ecole Internationale de Boston, was founded in 1962 to integrate French language and culture into children s education. It is a nonprofit organization and is approved by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the Council of International Schools and the French Ministry of Education. The school offers the French Baccalaureate diploma and the International Baccalaureate diploma that is the equivalent of American advanced placement classes that are recognized at colleges and universities worldwide and also provides placements to graduate students. It serves more than 500 students ranging in age from 3 to 18 from more than 40 nations and operates through preschool, kindergarten, lower, middle and upper school divisions. The International School of Boston has campuses in Arlington and Cambridge, Mass., and is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools and the Association of French Schools of North America.

Cambridge-Ellis School, established in 1981, is a nonprofit private preschool accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
