Crispell, is a former high school English and drama teacher. The chapel is located on a quiet, residential street and also runs Elmwood Chapel Preschool, which is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). According to the church Web site, "In our seeking for a vision for this local body of Jesus Christ, as elders we believe that God focused our attention to be a church for people who have given up on church."
