St. Paul's Co-Op Nursery School depends on both teachers and parents to make the school run smoothly. All parents have school responsibilities to enhance their children's education. The curriculum in play-based and includes science, art and story telling. Since the 1950s, St. Paul's has been working to reach each child's individual learning style and prepare young children for kindergarten.
Morning Glory Montessori Pre-School teaches students using the Montessori method, which aims to give children the attention and tools they need to excel. The school teaches subjects outside of the normal curriculum, such as Spanish. It also offers music, percussion and story telling. The small school gives the students a comfortable and individualized learning atmosphere with an average of seven students per teacher.
Lincoln Elementary School focuses on creating life long learners by encouraging fairness, friendship and physical and emotional well-being. For more than 100 years, Burlingame United Methodist Church has been serving the Peninsula's Methodist community. The church provides many opportunities for congregants to come together, such as Friday night dinners provided before services. Church members can also interact during Bible study, youth play group and mission outreach projects. The church holds three prayer services each week.
The First Presbyterian Church of Burlingame has an active group of congregants. There are yearly mission trips to Mexico, New Orleans and Honduras, and summer camps, Bible school and nursery school are scheduled for younger members. The sprawling church provides a friendly and welcoming environment to members and visitors. The church has served Peninsula worshipers for more than 80 years.
