Riverbend Landfill has served the disposal needs of Yamhill County, Ore., since 1982. The company works to clean and support programs to reduce, reuse and recycle to conserve landfill space. It works in partnerships with local schools, colleges, health and environmental groups and business organizations, such as McMinnville Area Habitat for Humanity, McMinnville Downtown Association, McMinnville Sunrise Rotary Club, Turkey Rama and Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation. Riverbend Landfill works with a team of more than 20 full-time staff members. It administers groundwater-monitoring programs that include the regular planned monitoring of wells placed around the active areas of landfill. The company is certified by the Wildlife Habitat Council.
