Since 1966 St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 733 Oxford Road has faithfully served parishioners, which now includes about 1,100 households. It is located in a quintessential New England church structure on about three acres. St. Thomas has youth groups, a choir and faith groups for men and women.
St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church has a long history in the Yalesville section of Wallingford. Located at its current site since 1869, the original structure was torn down in 1960. The distinctive A-Frame you see today on Church Street was rebuilt in 1960 on the original foundation. St. John the Evangelist boasts a small but dedicated congregation. It has been independent since 1980.
Sunday services at First Church of Christ, Scientist begin at 10:30am and including readings from the bible and from the textbook of Christian Science "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy. Sunday school begins at 10:30am for children and young people to the age of 20. A children's room provides care for infants and small children during all services.
Wednesday meetings start at 7:30pm and feature readings from the bible and from Eddy's writings. Attendees are welcome to share personal accounts of healing and spiritual insights. The meeting also includes prayer and hymn singing.

The South Britain Congregational Church is a community-oriented ministry with weekly worship services at 10 a.m. on Sundays.

Once a month, parishioners prepare and deliver supper to the Spooner House homeless shelter in Derby as part of their missionary service.
Saint Margaret Mary Church is located on Long Hill Ave. in Shelton and is a Roman Catholic congregation. Masses are held every day with three different services available on Sundays. Monsignor Thomas J. Whalen is the lead pastor, and Reverends Christopher J. Samele and Nello Barachini are also in available at Saint Margaret Mary's.
The roots of First Congregational Church of Wallingford reach deep into the history of the town. Founded in 1675, the Congregational Church stands at attention along the parade grounds, high on the hill, at South Main and Center Street, overlooking the town.
