The Childrens Advocacy Center of Hamilton County, Inc was established as a private, non-profit agency in 1991. The Centers mission is to serve children who are victims of abuse through prevention, education and intervention. We help victims become children again and lead normal, healthy, productive lives, thereby breaking the cycle of abuse. Last fiscal year, the Childrens Advocacy Center of Hamilton County, Inc conducted 403 forensic interviews, offered 321 counseling sessions to 50 children, provided 225 medical examinations, assisted 294 non-offending families through our family advocate program and presented prevention education programs to over 10, 000 children in the Chattanooga area. Over the last five years, the Childrens Advocacy Center of Hamilton County, Inc served nearly 2, 000 abused children from 22 countries in southeast Tennessee. Our Mission The Childrens Advocacy Center is dedicated to serving children who are victims of sexual and physical abuse through prevention, education and intervention. All programs and services are offered completely free of charge for as long as the client needs the service. Approximately 70% of the Centers budget comes from local, state, federal and private grants. The other 30% of the operating budget is provided through the generosity of private individuals, organizations, corporations and foundations, who provide funding not only to child victims but for our prevention education program as well.

The Kidney Foundation of the Greater Chattanooga Area was chartered on October 30, 1989 as an independent Kidney Foundation. The Kidney Foundation of the Greater Chattanooga Area receives no funding from the National Kidney Foundation, nor does it participate in any National Kidney Foundation programs, which means 100% of all funds raised stay within the greater Chattanooga area. The mission of The Kidney Foundation of the Greater Chattanooga Area is to provide help and information to those afflicted by kidney disease. Our vision is to be the leading resource of kidney related support in the greater Chattanooga area including: patient assistance, education, awareness, and prevention that improve the communitys quality of life. The Kidney Foundation of the Greater Chattanooga Area is made up of five different divisions Public Education, Patient Services, Community Services, Fund Raising, and Management & General. Public Education and Patient Services are the two primary focuses with Public Education making up 23% of the years expenses and Patient Services making up 67%. Kidney disease oftens leaves families financially devastated. In support of these families and those coping with kidney disease, The Kidney Foundation provides numerous programs and services to aid these families and patients. By operating as an independent Kidney Foundation, we are able to provide more financial assistance to our area patients. Blood Assurance is a nonprofit, full-service regional blood center serving more than 30 health care facilities in over 30 counties throughout Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina and Alabama. It provides supplies of blood plasma and other components to individuals and families. Blood Assurance is a member of the American Association of Blood Banks, Americas Blood Centers, the Tennessee Association of Blood Banks, the Tennessee Hospital Association and the Chattanooga Area Hospital Council. Childrens Home/Chambliss Shelter is a nonprofit social welfare organization that works to prevent the dependency, neglect, abuse and delinquency of children. Established informally in 1872, it offers 24-hour child care and medical services. Childrens Home/Chambliss Shelter maintains a child care facility and foster home that provides residential services for individuals up to the age of 12. It also provides the Childrens Home program, which serves more than 350 children. The organization offers Chambliss Shelter, which is a residential program for children between the ages of 6 and 18 who have been removed from their home for various reasons, such as physical abuse and drugs and alcohol addiction ion Hamilton County in Tennessee. It provides therapeutic, educational and preventative programs, as well as training and development services, short-term relief and residential support services. The Southeast Tennessee Area Agency on Aging and Disability offers housing options and various services that include senior and assisted living, specialty nursing, rehabilitation and long-term care services. In addition, the agency provides legal services, administrative enforcement monitoring, and accesses employment and financial records. It also offers programs related to nutrition, medication management and family support.
