GLEAMNS Human Resources Commission, established in 1966, is a nonprofit organization that provides support programs to low-income families throughout Greenwood, Laurens, Edgefield, Abbeville, McCormick, Newberry, Saluda, Fairfield, Lexington and Richland counties in South Carolina. The organization undertakes various programs, including head start, workforce development, child development, child care food program, community services, low-income heating energy assistance and migrant head start programs. It also provides funding for lighting, insulation and home improvements and renovations. The organization undertakes community-based educational activities and provides temporary food and housing support. GLEAMNS Human Resources Commission is a member of the National Association of Community Action Agencies and has its administrative office located in Greenwood, S.C.
