For 50 years the Maryland Hillel Foundation has served Jewish students who attend the University of Maryland. The small, nonprofit organization helps students grow socially, culturally and religiously. It features a kosher dining hall. The Hillel Foundation has 540 centers on college campuses nationwide.
The Fire Museum of Maryland offers tours for schools, adults and special needs groups of the 42 antique fire engines and exhibits. Year round it hosts special events, birthday parties, tours and event rentals. Membership is available to support the museum and receive discounts.
