Gardenview Montessori is a private, not-for-profit school for children 3-6 years. It was established in 2004 by a group of parents with children in local Montessori programs throughout the area. They sought highly competent and dedicated faculty with extensive Montessori experience. Class sizes vary but are limited to 22 students per session. Our program has since been extended to offer a toddler class to children 18 months through 3 years of age with a limit of 12 students. About the Staff and School The staff at Gardenview Montessori are all loving and caring individuals who have had extensive experience working with children. Most have been and are still Montessori parents. The employees, including the owners, receive a salary for the time that they spend in the classrooms. We run the business as a not-for-profit. All of the funds raised for Gardenview Montessori, including fundraising and donations, go directly back into the school to purchase equipment, offer staff training, maintain the building, and offer scholarships to families in need.

In the fall of 2008 the families and staff of Pleasant Valley Montessori School became part of Pioneer Meadows Montessori School. The next fall Salmonberry Montessori in Bellingham also became part of Pioneer Meadows.Pioneer Meadows is located on 5.6 acres in Ferndale adjacent to 20+ acres of open space. Our school will eventually be linked to a city-wide trail system, and we are within walking distance of the Ferndale city library. Currently we have two Childrens House classrooms and one Elementary classroom. Our elementary class moved into our first permanent building in the fall of 2009. Our Childrens House classes are accommodated in a state approved, temporary structure with all the needed amenities, including a spacious playground and raised beds for gardening.As of February 2010, Pioneer Meadows officially became a federally designated 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) non-profit school.
