To further his education, Dr. Kai earned dual master’s degrees in business administration and public health at Liberty University School of Business in Lynchburg, Virginia. He completed a post masters certificate in adult-gerontology and acute care nurse practitioner at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Dr. Kai completed his academic coursework at Columbia University in New York City, earning both a master’s degree in family nurse practitioner and palliative and end-of-life care, as well as a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. Dr. Kai served his country on active duty as a Commission Officer in the Army Nurse Corps and continues to serve as a Captain in the Army Reserves. Dr. Kai is truly committed to his patients and community and is dedicated to providing the treatment and services they need.

He has presented and published papers locally, as well as internationally, on psychosis, paranoia, ADHD, autism, resilience, myopia, soma-psyche, neuroscience, forced hospitalization, the DSM, ethnic humor, and a number of other topics.
