Established in 1980, Mothers Against Drunk Driving is a nonprofit organization in the United States working to protect families from drunk driving and underage drinking. VFW George R. Wolff Post 425 was one of the organization's earliest posts, forming in 1920, just after World War I. It is named in honor of the first man from Hopkins to die in that war. The post is also among the largest in the metro area; including its ladies' auxiliary, it has more 900 members on its rolls. The post offers food, drinks, pull tabs, bingo and, of course, a place for vets to gather and share their stories.
