Master Peter's Academy of Marital Arts is a fitness and instructional company serving South Brunswick. Master Peter Trikilas has over 20 years of martial arts experience, 15 years of teaching experience and has twice received the international instructor of the year award. The academy offers numerous programs including Little Dragon Classes for ages four to six, Black Belt Program for ages six through twelve and a number of teenage and adult programs.
"Stay true to yourself," is the mantra of Red Tiger Academy of Martial Arts owner Alberto Ortiz, a one-time national champion. Specializing in Sho To Kan, a traditional form of Japanese karate, each of the academy's five instructors are black belts and JKA certified. The vast, colorful studio provides everything students need to learn, such as uniforms, headgear and footgear, as well as weight lifting equipment, nun chucks and heavy bags. Participating in individual and group competitions, the academy holds age-based classes with an emphasis on sparring. Teaching as many girls as it does boys, new students are always welcome.

Okinawan Shido-Kan Karate Dojo is owned and operated by a husband and wife who opened the business in 1992. The dojo is uncluttered, leaving open space for classes. With locations in both Marblehead and Beverly Farms, the International Tae Kwon Do Academy is designed to assist in the personal development of its students. Bushido School of Karate has two locations in Eastern New York and specializes in many disciplines of self defense. Its Brewster dojo is on Route 22, on the second floor of Lakeview Plaza.
