Peaceful Warriors Martial Arts is an American karate dojo. This style is a synthesized combination of the traditional kenpo and shotokan styles. Owner and instructor Shihan Marco Mazzola aims to provide instruction that not only emphasizes technique, physicality and fitness, but also confidence, discipline and control. Mazzola offers separate classes designed for students of different ages and skill levels. Novices will learn the basics and can eventually advance to the Master Program.
Phoenix Karate is operated by Master Neil Phelan, and specializes in a blend of Tae Kwon Do, Wing Chun and Phillipino Stick Fighting. Classes offered include children's classes, summer camps, after-school programs as well as adult karate classes, women's self defense classes and yoga.
Dawn Barnes Karate Kids is located in a small office building on a busy stretch of Sepulveda Boulevard, across the street from the Manhattan Village Mall. This location is part of a Los Angeles chain that focuses on teaching karate to children, and age groups have cute names like karate kitties and tiger tots. The studio's mission is to inspire self-esteem in every child while teaching the basics of the ancient martial arts form.
