Empire Level Manufacturing is known for the development of the first adjustable level with interchangeable and replaceable vials, a landmark invention for the building trades. Empire is a manufacturer of tools and accessories. Its products are sold through authorized distributors and can be found at many home centers, hardware stores, industrial supply houses and farm supply stores throughout the United States. Empire has more than 30 patents. Master carpenter, Henry Ziemann, founded Empire Level Manufacturing in 1919. As the inventor of the modern level, he started a revolution in the industry that became the cornerstone of the level.
