Centro Latino offers weekly language classes and tutoring for Spanish and Portuguese. The classes vary in difficulty, including beginners, advanced beginners, low intermediate, intermediate and advanced. The facility also offers intensive classes that last between two and four weeks, as well as classes for children and teenagers. Please note that there is a 25 dollar materials fee that must be paid every three months. Aside from group classes, Centro Latino also provides private lessons for 50 dollars per hour.

Berkeley Russian School is a unique institution offering instruction to children ages three through 16. Located on the Berkeley campus, it offers advanced and beginner classes in Russian and Russian language classes in math, history, music, drama, dance and chess. The school was founded in 1995.
Located in the center of Shattuck Avenue on Berkley Square with several restaurants, grocery stores, book stores, retail boutiques, and two BART stations within walking distance, stands the high-tech home to Kaplan Education. Kaplan features online and private tutoring for grades from kindergarten through eighth grade. Although private tutoring currently is available only in New York, its online learning program is available nationwide and has more than 1,000 hours of interactive math and reading lessons. Kaplan Education also features college test prep programs for AP and SAT exams.
