International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) is a labor organization that represents approximately 725,000 members working in various fields. The organizations members belong to diverse fields, such as utilities, construction, telecommunications, broadcasting, manufacturing, railroad and government agencies. Based in Ketchikan, Alaska, it is one of the largest labor unions in the United States and Canada. The organization also manufactures a number of products, such as alarms/detection devices, appliances, household products, defense products, motors, generators and automotive equipment, among others. International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) has associations with the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee.
