Independent Living Services For Disabled in United States

Lutheran Creative Living is a branch of the Lutheran Social Services - Disability Services. At Lutheran Creative Living in Andover, staff care for eight developmentally-challenged adults that each have their own apartment at the South Main Street building. At the house, the staff try to help residents become independent and function by themselves in daily life. Residents and staff have events throughout the year and sometimes go to visit certain locations throughout town.

The disAbility Resource Center in Fredricksburg provides a variety of services to members of the community living with disabilities of all types, both congenital and acquired, including hearing and vision loss, Down Syndrome, Autism spectrum disorders and much more. The center provides education and support for people with disabilities and their families, assistive technology, advocacy, independent living skills and peer counseling. Donations of gently used medical and assistive equipment are always welcome, as are volunteers.
