The Wellesley Housing Authority provides affordable housing to low and moderate income people. It is located on Barton Street, site of the town's largest public housing development. The Wayland Housing Authority was established in 1970 to advocate for affordable housing for people with low to moderate incomes. In addition to the Cochituate Village Apartments for the elderly, the Authority also operates several other facilities including Bent Park and Family Scattered Site Public Housing units. Additionally, it offers services for first-time home buyers.
