Since 1960, City Rescue Mission has been operating as a nonprofit organization serving the homeless living in Oklahoma City. It caters to people with addiction, poverty, mental illness and lack of shelter. The center s emergency relief services meet the immediate physical needs of men, women and children. Its recovery program provides opportunities to address various life issues, such as addiction to drugs/alcohol/gambling, domestic violence, lack of education and job skills, mental illness and spiritual bankruptcy, among others. In addition, City Rescue Mission s social services center works with partner agencies to provided services on properties like, Veteran s Affairs, North Care/North Care for Kids and many more.

Domestic Violence Intervention Services, Inc. is a United Way agency, and the only nonprofit agency in Tulsa, and the surrounding communities to provide intervention and prevention services to men, women and children affected by domestic and sexual violence. We advocate protecting - Last year we provided advocacy for 450 sexual assault victims - 3,149 people seeking protective orders - 37,551 crisis line calls - We shelter to provide safety - Last year we sheltered 547 women and children at our emergency shelter and 45 women and children at our transitional living facility - We counsel to promote healing - Last year we counseled 1,718 adult and 373 child survivors of domestic violence - 2,123 perpetrators of domestic violence - 354 victims of sexual assault. We educate to change attitudes - Last year we provided education to 6,181 adults and teens - The Domestic Violence Intervention Services (DVIS) mission is to rebuild lives affected by domestic violence and sexual assault through advocacy, shelter, counseling , and education.
