Coastline Elderly Services is a nonprofit organization that develops, provides and coordinates a wide variety of home care services to the elders in the Greater New Bedford area, and their families. The organization also provides several programs for adults with disabilities. It focuses on enhancing independence and free exercise of individual initiative in the planning and management for seniors. Coastline Elderly Services has been designated as Area Agencies on Aging within the state, under the federal Older Americans Act. The organization also serves as the advocate for elders in various communities served by the agency. It is also a State Home Care Corporation that is responsible for the authorization of a variety of in-home services to elders through its case management system.
