American Fibromyalgia Syndrome Association Inc. is one of the leading nonprofit organizations that funds research to speed up the pace of medical discoveries in the United States. American Fibromyalgia Syndrome Association Inc.s small grants program offers an opportunity to young scientists to initiate new avenues in fibromyalgia research.

Founded in 2002, Teach for Friendship Foundation builds bridges of friendship between China and the United States. Located in Tucson, Ariz., the foundation strengthens Chinese students ability to converse in English. It also has implemented English conversation programs in Guatemala and Kazakhstan as well as a teacher-training program in Chile. Additionally, the group provides specially tailored English classes for groups, ranging from lawyers to medical students to hotel employees. It also offers English teachers for longer-term assignments at several universities in China.
