The Warren County Soil Conversion District works to conserve the county's natural resources. Established in 1952, it is the organization's responsibility to review, certify and enforce soil erosion and sediment control plans. Forest management plans, timber stand improvement, timber harvesting and reforestation also are available services through the soil conservation forestry program.
City of New Brunswick has several strategically located offices throughout the community. This one can be found in the heart of the business district on Bayard Avenue. It provides government, state and local administration, engineering, fire, finance, law, planning and development, police, public works, social services and water and utility. It also offers municipal codes and ordinances, council platforms and meetings, local and national news networks and Rutgers University information. Freehold Township's municipal complex is located in a residential area at the corner of Schanck Road and Stillwell Corners Road. Town Hall is one of several municipal buildings that make up the complex. The administration office, township clerk and tax collector, among other municipal offices, are housed in town hall. The Freehold Township Police Department and Freehold Township Independent Fire Co. #1 are also within the municipal complex.
