The Public Works Department: Highway Division maintains the town's roads year-round. Services include paving and repair projects during the warmer months and plowing, sanding and salting in winter. Free wood chips are available for pick up in front of the Turkey Hill Road facility during the summer. In winter, they offer free sand. The Highway Division is responsible for maintaining over 160 miles of local roadways, fourteen bridges and town sidewalks.
Terry Wade has owned City Room Cafe located on West Pearl for five years. This cafe opens early, serving coffee, homemade baked goods, omelets, sandwiches and breakfast platters. Lunch includes homemade soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches and specials.
Gun Owners of New Hampshire is the state NRA affiliate. The group holds monthly meetings every third Thursday.
