Established in 1974, the Westside Community Schools Foundation raises money to provide enhanced educational opportunities to the students. It is a nonprofit foundation that has more than 25 members. The foundation supports various early childhood centers that serve over 250 preschool students. The Westside Community Schools Foundation also administers before- and after-school programs for nearly 800 students in kindergarten through grade six. It organizes fundraising events, as well as sponsors organizations that award teachers. In addition, the foundation assists in installation of field turfs, renovation of baseball complexes and construction of auditoriums. It is a part of Westside Community Schools, which governs several educational institutions.
