Formed in 1946, F. R. Bigelow Foundation, located in St. Paul, Minn. It organizes partners, fundraising and the implementation of projects for the betterment of the Saint Paul area. The foundation offers a wide range of program areas, including arts and culture, public and societal benefit, education institutions, environment and animals, health and human resources. It accepts grant applicants from nonprofit corporations and public entities. It offers its services to a number of areas of community that include education, human services, humanities, the arts, and community development. The F. R. Bigelow Foundation is a member of the Council on Foundations and the Minnesota Council on Foundations.
