The Long Island Sound Resource Center serves as a clearinghouse for scientific research, access data, interactive maps, literature and other information about the Long Island Sound. Project partners include the state Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), University of Connecticut at Avery Point, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management, the United State Geological Survey Coastal and Marine Geology Program and the National Undersea Research Center for the North Atlantic & Great Lakes.
