Winrock International, a nonprofit organization, works with disadvantaged people around the world to increase economic opportunity, sustain natural resources and protect the environment. The charitable organization was named for former Arkansas Governor Winthrop Rockefeller. Since 1985, Winrock International has continued Rockefeller s vision and carried out its mission of working with people to build a better world increasing agricultural productivity and rural employment while protecting the environment. Winrock matches its approaches in agriculture, natural resources management, clean energy and leadership development with the unique needs of its partners. By linking local individuals and communities with new ideas and technology, Winrock is increasing long-term productivity, equity and responsible resource management to benefit the poor and disadvantaged of the world.
