Office of Minority Health Resource Center seeks to improve the health status of racial and ethnic minorities by working to eliminate health disparities and achieve health equity. This includes promoting disease prevention, health promotion, risk reduction, healthier lifestyle choices, use of health care services and lowering the barriers to health care.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is run by the United States Department of Health and Human Services. It works to alert the country about diseases and educate the population about health risks. The CDC's mission is to collaborate to create the expertise, information and tools that people and communities need to protect their health – through health promotion, prevention of disease, injury and disability and preparedness for new health threats.
