The North Point Edgemere Volunteer Fire Department Station 26 is located on N Point Road. The station's equipment includes two engines, brush, utility and squad trucks, as well as a boat.
Capitol Constable Service specializes in serving legal documents throughout the area. Christopher P. Chigas is the Bonded Constable for this area. Services include 24-hour subpoena issuance, out of state service arraignments, CPCS work and mobile notary services. Offices are located directly across the street from the Peabody District Court.
Peabody Police Department is run by police chief Robert L. Champagne, who has more than 100 police officers and 20 reserve officers on staff. The law enforcement agency is also staffed with 12 civilian dispatchers, two animal control officers, six records clerks, a parking clerk and countless volunteers. The department is comprised of a patrol division, drug unit, intel and criminal unit, and a K-9 unit; it also has computer crime, investigative, traffic and special services divisions.
