This new life center is geared toward creating programs to help families and citizens become more self-sufficient and become active in bettering themselves and the community. The cornerstone to our low cost overhead approach is selling through distributors and fabricators in appropriate industries. Consistent with this approach, Monmouth Rubber & Plastics is committed to investing a significant amount of time and money in creating a demand pull for its products. This program is titled "Dial Durafoam DirectThis program is designed to introduce Durafoam to the end user, provide engineering and product development free of charge direct from the factory, and then turn over the fabrication and sale of the product to the appropriate fabricators and distributors for the industry at hand. An example of this program is the following ad which appears in Thomas Register which tells the Dial Durafoam Direct Story.Significant quantities of qualified leads are generated from our printed advertising, direct mailings, and other marketing efforts. These leads are a valuable asset to the fabricators and distributors with whom we have a working relationship.P.O.P. is an effective sales and marketing program that we have used for many years. As with many of our other programs, it is simple, straight forward, and carries a 1, 2, 3, component approach.

Founded in 1966, the Work Opportunity Center handles subcontract work, including general assembly, shrink wrapping, poly bagging, packaging, heat sealing and special events fulfillment. It assembles and delivers customized health care kits to hospitals and state correctional facilities within New Jersey. The center operates a more than 30,000-square-foot building and an over 10,000-square-foot warehouse. The Work Opportunity Center employs a workforce of over 165 people and assembles customized hospital admission, toiletry, suction canisters and plastic cutlery kits. The center also serves manufacturers, printers, advertising agencies, utility companies and nonprofit organizations. The Work Opportunity Center is accredited by The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission, Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired and New Jersey Department of Labor. It is a part of The Arc of Monmouth, which is a nonprofit organization that provides services and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
