Founded in 1919, the Montana Farm Bureau Federation is a nongovernmental organization that represents the business, economic, social and educational interests of farmers and ranchers. It conducts support programs for funding agriculture research, education and community development programs throughout the state of Montana. It gives a platform to its members to discuss various issues, such as property rights and water quality, environmental, tax and government regulations and usage of public land lots. It organizes a variety of programs, including annual youth speech contests, Mini-Grant awards, and young farmer and rancher scholarships. It also supports women upliftment and farm safety programs. Montana Farm Bureau Federation is located in Bozeman, Mont.
