France School of Dance is family owned and operated and has been serving Salem and Keizer for over 55 years. We offer Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Jazz and Hip-Hop classes. We have no costume or recital fees so you can watch your children perform without the extra cost. There is also an observation room for parents. Our goal is to provide a happy, stress free enviroment for your child to learn in. We offer beginner, intermediate and advanced classes in three semesters per year, with each one ending with a group production. Our open enrollment is in September, January and June. We have a 2nd location in Rickreal at the Polk County Fairgrounds. Please call for schedules and prices.

Our students will learn the important ballet fundamentals of body alignment, posture, balance, classical ballet vocabulary, and the physical, mental, and emotional discipline that is necessary for success in this demanding art form. In class sizes of 15 students or less, each student receives individual, personalized attention, to ensure that they learn the proper positioning and break-down behind both simple and complex movements; building upon the foundation established in the beginner and intermediate levels as they continue into the advanced levels. Once the basic fundamentals of classical ballet technique have been achieved, students may supplement their training with classes in Historical Dance, Character Dance, Chinese Dance, Pointe/Variations, and Pre-Professional performance experiences, all under the watchful and trained guidance of the professional instructors at Corvallis Academy of Ballet.
