American Repertory Ballet Princeton Ballet School maintains dance studios in Princeton, New Brunswick and Cranbury. This location provides a variety of classes and summer programs accompanied by live music for individuals of different ages and skill levels, including courses for Rider University dance majors and minors. The company performs the Nutcraker annually in theaters througout the state and all students participate in an annual recital.
This historic, meticulously-maintained building was originally founded in 1923 and has operated as a hub for culture and arts in Spring Lake ever since. The building houses the Spring Lake Public Library, the Spring Lake Women's Club, the Spring Lake Dance School and the Spring Lake Community House Theatre, home of the Spring Lake Theatre Company. The theatre hosts a number of professional quality productions each year.
Spotlight Dance & Performing Arts Center offers a variety of youth performance and dance programs. Classes are available in ballet, jazz, tap, musical theater, hip hop and more. Classes are taught by instructors and professional dancers, Lauren Avon and Lenny Vasile. The studio is located in Wall Circle Park Plaza.
Next Step Dance Academy offers introduction to dance, tap and jazz combo and technique classes. A choreography workshop is offered to advanced students. Though the Academy focuses on children, adult ballet and hip-hop classes are available. The studio is located in Howell Center.
The Perna Dance Center is a family-owned and operated non-competitive dance studio. It offers classes for all ages and abilities and its talented staff and professional dance instructors will get you dancing.
The Perna Dance Center offers classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, acro-gymnastic, modern and pointe. There is closed-circuit television for parents in the waiting area as well as a supervised student drop off.
