The Franco-American Club is a nonprofit cultural community organization fully staffed by volunteers and run by a board of directors. Members receive access to the Franco Lounge, which includes a bar and a TV area. (Nonmembers can rent the club's banquet hall for corporate or personal events.) Outings such as bus trips, dinners and sports matches are also run through the club.

Since 1969, it has been a welcoming environment featuring wonderful music and inspiring guest speakers. The YMCA is located inside of Don Juan Avila Elementary School. The YMCA is one of the oldest and largest young mens' organizations in the world. It focuses on building and empowering young men through group activities, community work, sports, leadership roles and more. St. Paul's Lutheran Church offers 11:00am Sunday services and 9:30am junior church services. The church offers a range of ministries and activities for adults and children.
Located just off Columbia Pike down Whispering Lane, John Calvin Presbyterian Church is a friendly, community-centric place of worship where the goal is to strengthen the values and spirit of their members through discussion, prayer and fellowship. The National Capital Presbytery created the church in 1959. It moved to its current location after the number of lanes on Columbia Pike was increased. Due to this change, there are now two entrances to the parking lot, both down Whispering Lane. The church holds Communion and family worship services on the first Sunday of every month.
Parents Place Family Resource Center is a program for Jewish families and childrens services in the Palo Alto area. It provides programs for kids as well as parenting classes for adults.
The Palm Desert Chamber of Commerce is comprised of 1,100 members. The chamber has a five star accredited rating, one of only two in the state, and often puts on networking events, produces a newsletter, and represents the interest of local businesses to legislators. The chamber aims to create a strong local economy through these efforts.
Parishioners at Epiphany Evangelical Lutheran Church are led in worship by Pastor Dennis Beach and associate Pastor Ron Feltman. The church community prides itself on service to children through its youth, junior and senior high school ministries. The church is also home to the Elmhurst Children's Choir and Adult Christian Care, a day program for physically or cognitively impaired adults. Small groups meet regularly at Epiphany, including Families in Faith, the quilters, and clothing and toy resale committees, and mission groups have traveled to Africa and Mississippi.
