First Presbyterian Church is on Vine Street between St. Patrick Catholic Church and St. Croix Valley YMCA. The First Presbyterian congregation occupies a large, white church with a decorative pond in front and a garden area known as The Labyrinth in the back. The congregation has a strong emphasis on fellowship and offers many groups for members to gather, including the Ecumenical Men's Group, the Prayer Shawl Ministry and the Presbyterian Club just for starters. Sunday worship services are at 9:30am with a fellowship hour following.
St. Paul's Episcopal Church is east of the city on County Road in the Town of Hudson near Harvestime An outreach Church and the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, St. Paul's Church offers Sunday worship services at 8am and 10:30am with church school for children and Bible study for adults between the two services.
Bible Baptist Church is on Sixth Street in the Village of North Hudson. The church offers Sunday worship services at 10:30am and 6pm and a Wednesday evening Bible study gatherings at 7pm. Sunday school starts at 9:30am every Sunday. Wednesday evening Bible study gatherings are broken down by age group: adults, seventh grade through twelfth grade, first grade through sixth grade, 4-year-olds through kindergarteners, and 2- and 3-year-olds.
The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses is located on Jacobs Road, which is east of the city in the Town of Hudson near Harvestime Outreach Church and St. Paul's Episcopal Church. The hall has a sign at the back of the building down the hill from the building, which is visible to those driving past on County Road UU.
Faith Community Church is a sprawling church just east of the city on Carmichael Road. This church has a wide variety of ministry groups for followers to experience, from LATTE (Ladies Achieving Togetherness Through Encouragement) to Men on a Mission and Seasoned Believers.
There are even faith programs that cater to more specialized groups, such as Fishermen of Faith and Divorce Care. The Well is a young adult worship group that meets Sunday evenings. Of course there are faith programs for children of all ages as well.
Trinity Lutheran Church & School almost entirely occupies the city block bordered by St. Croix Street, River Street, Fifth Street and Sixth Street. Also in the neighborhood are Willow River Elementary School and St. Patrick's School. It is one of the biggest church communities in Hudson with a congregation of more than 2,350 members -- about 700 attend worship services every Sunday. Trinity Lutheran also educates close to 500 children in its daycare, preschool, elementary and middle school programs. The church offers social ministries, study groups, outreach and volunteer opportunities in the Hudson community.
The Christ Center Assembly of God is just east of the city in the town of Hudson. It is found conveniently on Northview Drive, just off of County Road UU. If a batter hit a powerful homerun out of Grandview Park, it might land close to this church. Christ Center offers a Sunday morning worship service every week at 10am.
The Willow River Cemetery is located on the corner of 9th street and Wisconsin, across from the water tower. The entrance gate is on 9th street and no parking is available within the cemetery. Public visitors are allowed during daylight hours.
Birkmose Park has some of the most breathtaking views of the St. Croix River available in Hudson. Perched atop a bluff overlooking the the entire river valley, Birkmose Park is a place for quiet contemplation. Picnics and sports aren't allowed in the solemn park, but it's a perfect place to catch up on some reading, get some fresh air, meditate and think. Please be respectful of the Several Indian burial mounds that are surrounded by big, heavy chains.
Cornerstone Church is tucked into a residential neighborhood on Fourth Street between Oak Street and Myrtle Street. The church offers a Sunday morning worship service with Bible study on Wednesdays. The church formed in 1991 out of a group from First Pentecostal Church, but now operates as a nondenominational Christian institution focused on bringing early Christianity to modern believers.
The Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau is located in Hudson's historic downtown district at the corner of Second Street and Walnut Street. The Chamber offers several services for new residents, visitors and business leaders. The lobby is filled with informational literature and marketing materials from member businesses to help visitors and newcomers get better acquainted with the community.
St. Patrick Catholic Church is on Vine Street near Hudson High School. Its distintive sloping shape and ornate window and cross cut out the stone building make it an easily recognizable landmark in town. The St. Patrick Catholic community offers worship services daily and plenty of activities throughout the week. The church's Family Life committee offers guidance with pre-marriage preparation, marriage enrichment and natural family planning, among other things. St. Patrick's School and St. Patrick Cemetery are also part of this church's faith community.
Bethel Lutheran Church is on the corner of Third and Myrtle streets, across from the Octagon House Museum in Hudson's historic downtown district. This building, known as Bethel Downtown, is part of the same faith community as the newer Bethel Highlands building east of town. Bethel Downtown holds two Sunday morning worship services and a monthly Thursday evening service. The Bethel faith community offers a full slate of activities aimed at every age group and demographic from young children to young parents to senior citizens.
First Baptist Church of Hudson is at the corner of Third Street and Vine Street in Hudson's historic downtown district. The church holds its Sunday morning worship service at 10:15am, preceded by Sunday School at 9am. Several ministries are offered through First Baptist, including NETworks Youth Ministry, American Baptist Women and Men of Integrity. Members also participate in several mission and outreach opportunities.
The Hudson Soccer Association organizes soccer leagues and tournaments for both children and adults. The Hudson Soccer Complex features 11 soccer fields, including both practice and game ones. It also has stadium seating.
Beth Immanuel Sabbath Fellowship is at the corner of Third Street and Orange Street in Hudson's historic downtown district. Beth Immanuel is a Messianic institution which seeks to restore the practices of early Jewish-Christianity. Services at Beth Immanuel happen on Saturdays with liturgical services at 9am, 3pm and after dark, and a contemporary service at 11:30am. A shared kosher meal is served after the service.
