Parents Place is Waukesha County's family resource center for families with children ages 0-18. It collaborates and maintains a network of community service providers while offering services like parent and child educational and support groups, information and referral, crisis support, on-site child care, networking opportunities, community awareness and special events. Parents Place works in conjuction with the Prevention and Protection of Abused Children (PPAC).
Parents Place offers these resources to the general public. Anyone that feels they can benefit in any way from these programs is welcome to participate.
Wisconsin Lutheran Institutional Ministries Inc. located on Mayfair Road offers ministry to persons that are institutionalised. Institutions they cover include prisons, jails, hospitals, nursing homes, juvenile detention centers, drug and alcohol centers and mental health centers.
Located on Church Street, First Congregational Church of Wauwatosa has been serving the local area since 1842. The religious institution is all about following Jesus and joining together to pray, learn and worship. A 92-acre wildlife sanctuary hidden on the winding roads in Saukville, the Blue Heron Wildlife Sanctuary offers a place for visitors to enjoy walking trails and views in summer and winter weather alike. The sanctuary also provides rescue and rehabilitation to native, wild animal and plant life.
Currie Park is one of the largest parks in the Milwaukee County Park System, and is home to a moderately challenging golf course. Currie is also home to a popular sledding hill in the winter, but its main off-season feature is the Currie Park Golf Dome, an inflated structure that offers golf practice and instruction year-round.
The people who founded this church came to the Racine area in 1883 from a province of Kharpert, Armenia. They came rom the town of Tomarza and the village of Jujun. The church has been in its current location on Erie Street below 4 Mile Road since 1973.
