Kaeden Books was founded in 1986 to provide quality reading materials for primary teachers to use with children in their first years of the reading experience. Kaeden Books focuses on books for children from pre-kindergarten to second grade. Its books are available to purchase online or by mail, phone or fax order; this address is not a storefront. The company's goal is to help children become lifelong readers.
Westlake's Hungarian Seventh Day Adventist Church is a bilingual church with services in both English and Hungarian. It is a warm and friendly congregation and enjoys worshipping together on Saturdays. Worship begins on Saturday morning at 10am with the sabbath school and praying begins at the worship service which begins at 11:30am. It is located on Columbia Road just south of Center Ridge Road.
Grace Baptist Church serves Westlake, Bay Village, Rocky River and other westside communities. With 200 members, it offers children's ministries from birth through high school and college age. It also has adult Bible fellowships, morning worship service and life groups.
Youth Challenge offers free year-round adapted sports and recreational programming to children with disabilities such as muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, spina bifida and hearing or sight impairments. Each child is paired up with a teenage volunteer who is trained to work and play with a physically handicapped child. They enjoy such activities like basketball, baseball, swimming, skiing and more. The headquaters is located in the office park off Sharon Drive.
Westlake Bible Fellowship is a small congregation dedicated to bible study and learning more about God. The congregation is very family oriented and close-knit.
Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #25 is the Western Cuyahoga Lodge. This hall may be rented for up to 150 people and includes tables and chairs. The main level offers easy access from the parking lot. The hall may be rented for any five-hour period and it is available Friday, Saturday nights, as well as Sundays and during the week. Bartenders (F.O.P.) are also available for a fee.
St. Bernadette's is a Catholic church and school for children in kindergarten, pre-kindergarten, and grades 1 through 8. Weekly masses beginning at 9am.
Dating back to the early 1800s, Evergreen Westlake Cemetery is the oldest cemetery in this community. It features a gazebo and pavilion, and opens at sunrise and closes at dusk. The cemetery is located off Center Ridge Road near Crocker Road.
The Villager Newspaper is circulated in Bay Village, Westlake, Rocky River, Avon Lake, Avon, Sheffield, North Ridgeville, Fairview Park, Lakewood and North Olmsted. The paper is published twice each month and covers local news, sports and human-interest stories.
The Crocker Park Press and the St. John West Shore Hospital Pulse are also Villager publications.
Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints is a family and community oriented congregation. There are plenty of church rleated activites in which to participate. There are two services on Sunday morning.
