Big Bethel AME Church is the oldest predominantly African American congregation in the Atlanta metropolitan area. It was founded in 1847 and is an African Methodist Episcopal church and is located on the Historic Auburn Ave. They have many different ministries available to be involved with like Youth, Music & Arts, & Outreach. Worship is on Sundays & Wednesday, and the current Pastor is Rev Gregory Vaughn Eason Sr.

Commonly mistaken for just a thrift store, the primary purpose of this not-for-profit organization is to put people to work using the proceeds from sales to fund its mission. This particular store, located in the Peachtree Parkway Plaza shopping center, is also a donation center. The clothes are organized according to color, making for easy browsing, and the staff is kind and helpful.
The Atlanta Tribune is a monthly magazine that caters to an audience of metro-area trendsetters and decision makers. The editorial focus is on business lifestyle and it's known to be black Atlanta's source of news, information and updates on local and national issues. Project Adam is a rehabilitation and support organization for local community members struggling with substance abuse and other life-changing issues. The services are primarily outpatient, but live-in treatment residence programs are also available. The team treats both adults and adolescents.
This Goodwill is located in the Scenic Plaza shopping center, along Scenic Highway in Lawrenceville. Customers will find a variety of used home appliances, clothing, and other household items. It also has a donation center.
Lawrenceville Road United Methodist Church has been serving the Tucker area since 1962. Rev. Kathy McFarland is the 14th pastor to lead the congregation, which offers Sunday school followed by worship services every Sunday morning.
LRUMC is steeped in ministry and mission traditions. "Music for Missions" has been a staple at the church since 1998 and has raised over $45,000 from 97 free concerts to benefit more than 42 charities. An annual three-day mission trip to Jonesville, VA assists in home repairs for the needy.

Goodwill is located within Lilburn Square on Lawrenceville Highway in Lilburn. Customers can drop off donations and buy clothing at this location. Goodwill has an assortment of furniture along with men's, women's and children's clothing. Furniture donations are also accepted here.
Atlanta Unity Church (AUC) is not a typical church, as it proclaims itself to be a "center for practical spirituality." The lesser-known denomination, Unity, is commonly mistaken for Unitarian, though the two are very different. AUC pursues a metaphysical, Christian approach, which is one of the reasons for its widespread popularity. The building is set in a modern business park, where it has been since 2006, when it uprooted itself from its previous location in Decatur to accommodate an ever-increasing following.
