Founded in 2005, Soles4Souls is a shoe charity that collects gently worn shoes and monies to provide shoes to those in need. Located at Roanoke, Ala., the charity distributes these shoes to people in need, regardless of race, religion, class, or any other criteria. Soles4Souls has given away over 14 million pairs of new and gently worn shoes to people in more than 127 countries, including Kenya, Thailand, Nepal and the United States. It partners with individuals, shoe retailers, distributors, schools, religious organization and colleges to help the needy. The organization has been featured in Runners World, Ladies Home Journal, National Geographics Green Guide and The New York Times.
