As part of a nationwide network of Barbizon schools, this location in Clayton schools young women in modeling and acting, helping to build their poise and self-confidence in those areas as well as other areas of their lives. Auditions are regularly held at this center, on Forsyth in downtown Clayton just east of Hanley Road. Above and beyond training, the Barbizon Modeling Center is a talent agency for its graduates.
St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley campus is located on 108 acres on Pershall Road, and offers numerous programs and fields of study for students. The school offers all types of programs, including a specialty in engineering and technology. The school also has a two-year biotechnology program, as well as programs in chemical technology, deaf communications, education, arts, film, writing, business, speech communication and much more. The school has 7,400 students and numerous facilities, including an art gallery, child care center, engineering center, lab areas, workstations, drama theater and more. St. Charles Community, commonly known as SCC, is located just outside of St. Peters. The two-year community college offers associate degrees and certificate programs in the arts, business, sciences and career-technical fields.
St. Charles Community College is the fourth largest of Missouri's 12 community college districts. SCC offers a college transfer program with over 24 areas of interest.
SCC also has a partnership with the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Also on the SCC campus is the home of the Eastern Missouri Law Enforcement Training Academy.
