Shrine Catholic High School and Academy is one of the preeminent private schools in metro Detroit. This high school boasts a full roster of honors and advanced-placement classes, plus extracurriculars like drama club and championship sports teams. Ninety-four percent of the class of 2009 enrolled in a four-year college; the other 6 percent enrolled in a community college. Famous alumni include the actress Kristen Bell.
St. Joseph Parish School has small class sizes and a family-oriented environment. The children take religion class everyday, and the school has a prominent science program where children can learn dissection. Nearly all of the classrooms have smart boards. There is one classroom per grade and class sizes range from 11 to 29 children. There is a hot lunch program Monday through Thursday.
