Woods Child Development Center (Woods CDC) is a mission of Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church. Weekly chapel is held October through May. Programs are both teacher-directed and child-directed. There is plenty of outdoor play time and a robust playground. Language, Literacy, Math, Science, Social Studies, Music and Art are featured throughout the day and a Drama program is available for the pre-kindergarten students.
Programs are based on The Creative Curriculum for Preschool which follows the Maryland Model for School Readiness. Each classroom is staffed with a degreed teacher and one to three support staff. Part-time Preschool and full day childcare as well as summer camp are available. The center provides breakfast, morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack. The center is located directly across the drive to the Severna Park Community Center and behind the Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church.
The Edinboro Early School believes in "a small group environment allowing for maximum participation and affording frequent opportunity to experience 'hands-on' situation." Located on a little knoll on Jumpers Hole Road, the Edinboro Early School is a kindergarten, nursery and childcare facility. Licensed and approved by the Maryland Department of Education, children may arrive at 7am and stay until 6pm. All registered students may participate in the childcare.
