Established in 1980, Regional Access & Mobilization Project, also known as RAMP, is a nonprofit, nonresidential center for independent living. It serves with the purpose of increasing the ability of people with disabilities to become productive, contributing and self-directing members of society. The organization also educates businesses, service providers and public entities on disability issues. Regional Access & Mobilization Project is funded by service and community organizations, corporate donations, special events and individual contributions. In addition, it offers community, communication, deaf and individual services. The organization provides peer counseling for people with hearing disabilities. It offers bus training, individual advocacy and personal assistance services.
