The Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents is a home-based organization representing all of the superintendents of schools in Connecticut. The association also has others involved who work with leadership teams of school systems. They strive to offer the best education to all of Connecticut students. The Bridge Family Center, founded in 1969, is a nonprofit agency offering a broad range of services for youth and families, particularly for children with special needs. It has developed a variety of strategies and programs, such as counseling and support groups, parenting services and youth development programs to address these needs. The center has also broadened its scope and expanded its outreach to the greater Hartford area of West Hartford, Conn., and serves more than 9,000 young people and families annually.
