The Christian and Missionary Alliance, located in Colorado Springs, Colo., is an alliance of evangelists that was established in 1887. It establishes churches and ministries that strive to provide basic resources and support services to underserved communities throughout the United States and worldwide. It emphasizes on Christian education, baptism theories and promotes the values of gospel. Additionally, the alliance provides education to the general community on the life of Jesus Christ and emphasizes salvation, moral values and ethics of life. The Christian and Missionary Alliance has established various churches throughout the United States, such as Peak Community Church in Alamosa, Colo., Faith Alliance Church in Attleboro, Mass., and Smokey Point Community Church in Arlington, Wash. Its churches provide prayer and worship services, organize religious sermons and Bible study classes comprising the Old Testament and the New Testament. The alliance churches also operate various ministries, such as children s, youth, adult and senior adult ministries that provide educational programs and social and recreational activities.
