The Worldwide Forgiveness Alliance is a nonprofit organization started by Mill Valley attorney Robert Plath; his mission is to evoke the spiritual healing of forgiveness worldwide. One of its goals is to establish an International Forgiveness Day that is recognized throughout the world by 2025.

Recent International Forgiveness Days have honored Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., and Christopher Rodriguez, a 12-year-old boy who forgave a man who hit him with a stray bullet as he was taking a piano lesson in Oakland in 2008.

The Harbor Point Charitable Foundation is a nonprofit organization focused on increasing funding and awareness of adult health issues by supporting Bay Area organizations that educate, conduct research and provide help to those experiencing a health crisis.

The foundation hosts the annual Esurance Tennis Classic at the Harbor Point Tennis Club. Since its inception in 1983, the event has garnered the support of some of the most famous tennis players in the world and raised millions of dollars for deserving charities.

The Crescent Porter Hale Foundation is a private family foundation supporting nonprofit organizations through grants in five Bay area counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco and San Mateo.

The foundation has highlighted several areas of concern that it hopes to fund. Those areas are art and music education, Catholic elementary and high schools, programs that focus on improving the quality of life for the disadvantaged, and agencies serving at-risk and minority youth, families or the elderly.

142 Throckmorton Theatre opened in 1915 with screenings of Charlie Chaplin films, charging only 25 cents. Now it features a number of live shows including comedian Mark Pitta on Tuesdays at 8pm. This downtown Mill Valley non-profit also accepts donations to keep this beautiful theater open. The facility is available for rental for private events.

The Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce has served the community for 80 years and is the only certified green Chamber of Commerce in Marin County. The mission of the 501 (c)6 non-profit organization is to promote a healthy economic climate, advocate public policy for business, and enhance life in Mill Valley. The Chamber acts as a liaison between local business and city government, and also collaborates with local leadership. Saveabunny serves both the people and animals in the community through education, adoption, outreach and rescue options. Saveabunny believes that the humane and responsible treatment of animals reduces the number of unwanted and homeless animals and contributes to a more tolerant and compassionate society. Saveabunny does not accept rabbits from private homes, it is a shelter outreach. The Muir Woods Park Community Association can find its roots back in 1935 when it was originally called the Muir Woods Park Improvement Association. It's function is to build a community around those who live on and near Mt. Tamalpais.  

There is a clubhouse which is available for rent for weddings and private parties. The main room is 341 square feet with a full kitchen. There are also two parking lots nearby.

The Lasallian Education Fund is a global fundraising arm of Lasallian schools of the West Coast of North America, which supports other international regions and locations serving disadvantaged youth. The fund provides scholariships for disadvantaged youth to attend Lasallian school, giving low-income families access to the type of education provided by the De La Salle Christian Brothers and their associates.

The O'Hanlon Center for the Arts is a nonprofit art center that offers studio space to the public. The center provides ongoing workshops in the visual arts, literary arts, performing arts, as well as family and children's programs. Art exhibitions and artist roundtable dialogues are regularly held at the center. A variety of spaces are also available for rent, including the loft, studio, gallery, loka, koya, meadow, potting shed and sculpture gardens.

The Tam High Foundation was established in 1996 to help fund academic and student life programs across the campus of Tamalpais High School. Since its inception, the foundation has invested approximately $2 million in the school's students, teachers, and programs. 

During the 2008-2009 school year the foundation funded such projects as a laptop lab, tutoring programs, new media editing workstations and cameras and the drama program, among others.
